Utica Mayor Robert Palmieri is announcing that he has directed all available non-emergency DPW personnel to address the pothole problem in the city.

With warmer weather coming, the DPW will be able to do a lot more work in fixing the potholes than earlier in the year.

"There is no doubt that the extreme weather this winter caused damage to roads all over the country, especially in the northeast," Palmieri said. "However that is not an excuse, and the residents of Utica deserve to drive under the best road conditions possible. I have heard from the residents, and I am directing all possible DPW staff and resources to address this problem."

Residents are encouraged to report potholes by calling the Mayor's office at 315-792-0100.
