The eighth-ranked Utica Pioneers hockey squad logged a big 5-1 victory over Western New England University on Saturday night at the Utica Aud.

Four different Utica players scored and goalie Nick Therrien stopped all but one of the 21 shots on goal as the Pioneers advanced to 10-2-2.

Utica led 5-0 until the shut-out was spoiled when WNEU scored on a power play at 4:23 left in the game.

The Pioneers are back at the Aud Saturday night against 12th ranked Oswego State.  Game time is set for 7 p.m..
