Utica Parolee Arrested In Albany After Evading Police
A Utica man is under arrest after evading police at a routine traffic stop.
State Police say they stopped Penta Thomas, 37, on the Thruway on May 19, for a traffic violation and discovered he gave them a fake name.
When troopers approached Thomas' vehicle for further investigation he drove away leading Troopers on a chase, eventually losing them in Schenectady.
Troopers then discovered Thomas is a parolee and were able to arrest him at his parole meeting on May 22.
Thomas was sent to Albany County Jail pending further court action.
