The Utica Police Department's Police Benevolent Association says it is endorsing Bill Morehouse as its choice for Utica Comptroller.

John Dellerba, President of the Utica PBA, says that the union voted to endorse Morehouse, and gave a vote of "no confidence" to candidate James Zecca.  He made the statement on WIBX First News with Keeler in the Morning on Friday, October 18, 2013.

Both Morehouse and Zecca are sitting members of the Utica Common Council.  During recent appearances by Zecca and Morehouse on the program a listener called the show to say that Morehouse's endorsement claim was disingenuous.  Dellerba confirmed that Morehouse did indeed have the endorsement of the PBA's membership.

Audio of the interview will be posted below later in the day.
