Utica Police Arrest Alleged Hot Dog Bandit
Utica, NY (WIBX) - Utica Police say they arrested a man after allegedly stealing a box of hot dogs from Rick's Steaks. The report from Utica Police officials states that 46-year-old Carson Wilsey of Utica was seen breaking into the business on Catherine and First Street earlier today, when a concerned citizen contacted law enforcement officials to report the crime in progress.
The tipster provided police with a description of the suspect who attempted to flee the scene on his bicycle, still carrying the stolen goods. Wilsey was subsequently arrested on Oriskany and First Street and charged with the following offenses:
- Petit Larceny, A Misdemeanor
- 4th Degree Criminal Mischief, A misdemeanor
- 3rd Degree Burglary, A Class D felony
