The investigation continues into a weekend shooting in downtown Utica that left five people -- including the alleged gunman -- injured.

The suspect, Calvin Dennis of Manhattan, was shot by a Utica Police officer.

He's in serious but stable condition at a Syracuse hospital.

Police say according to witnesses, the action's of Officer John Scaramuzzino likely saved further injuries.

Four shooting victims were found in and around the Level Bar on Bleecker Street.

Lt. Steve Hauck says police are still working on a motive for the shooting and  they're hoping to talk to anyone who witnessed the incident.

Hauck says they believe there were dozens of witnesses.
