Utica Police photo

Utica, NY (WIBX) – Utica Police are reporting yet another incident involving “bath salts.”

Police were called to a home on the 1200 block of Mary Street just after 5:30 this morning for a trespassing report.

When officers arrived, they found a 21-year old Remsen woman talking rapidly and screaming that someone was trying to “get her.”

Officers say the woman was acting extremely paranoid and hallucinating,  pointing at people that were going to harm her that didn’t exist.

The woman was transported to St. Elizabeth Medical Center for a mental health evaluation.

Once at the hospital, she admitted to police that she had ingested the synthetic drug known as “bath salts.”
