Utica Police Investigate Fatal Stabbing [UPDATE]

Utica Police are investigating a fatal stabbing.

It happened at around 7:45 Friday night on the 1600 block of Howard Avenue.

The name of the victim has not been released.

It's the city's third homicide of the year.

UPDATE;  Utica Police have charged 71-year old Lawrence Abbott with murder and criminal possession of a weapon in the May 30th stabbing death of a man on the 1600 block of Howard Avenue.

Police says the victim, 60-year old Paul Grimes of Utica, was stabbed inside a home at 1624 Howard Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found Grimes on the ground bleeding from a chest wound.

He later died.
