Utica, NY (WIBX) - Utica Police are reporting two more cases involving "bath salts."

Police were called to the Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute yesterday afternoon for a report of an emotionally disturbed man who locked himself inside a bathroom and wouldn't come out.

They say the 30-year old man was under the influence of the synthetic drug.

Last night, officers responded to Lincoln Avenue for a man calling for help.

They found the man in a wooded area between Lincoln Ave and Route 12.

The man was laying on the ground and claimed he was paralyzed from the waist down.

Police say the man told them he had recently taken "bath salts" and officers found him in possession of an empty bag of the substance.

The UPD has investigated at least five "bath salts" cases over the last two days.
