Utica Police Investigate Robbery And Shooting

Utica, NY (WIBX) – Utica Police were kept busy Wednesday night, investigating a shooting and robbery.
Officers responded to the 12-hunded block of Capital Avenue at around 8:30 where a taxi cab driver said he was robbed by several men..
Police say one of the men had a handgun.
The suspects fled on foot.
About a half-an-hour later, police were called to James Street and Seymour Avenue where they found a man who had been shot in the lower body.
They say his injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
