Utica Police Investigate Shots Fired Incident On Taylor Avenue

Utica Police are investigating a shooting incident that happened early Saturday morning on Taylor Avenue.

Police were called to 1212 Taylor Ave at around 1:00 for a report of numerous shot fired.

They say officers learned that two groups of men were involved in an altercation during a “back to school party.”

A 13-year old girl was struck by a stray bullet as she fled from the home.

She was taken to the hospital, where she was treated for a gunshot wound to her upper arm and released.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Utica Police Department at 315-223-3510.
