Utica Police are investigating a pair of "shots fired" incidents that happened on Sunday.

Police say two groups of people were shooting at each other in the area of Seymour Avenue and James Street yesterday afternoon.

They say one of the groups ran into a home at 1639 Seymour Ave.

While at that address, officers arrested 23-year old Raheem Ford of Utica on an unrelated domestic violence charge.

Earlier in the day, police had responded to 1639 Seymour Avenue for a house party in which gunfire was reported.  Police found numerous spent shell casings on the porch of the home and a car that was hit by a stray bullet.

Anyone with information on either incident is asked to call the UPD at 223-3510.
