Utica Police were kept busy on Wednesday, responding to six shots fired calls at various location throughout the city from 5:00 pm to midnight.

Police say shots fired were confirmed in three of the six incidents. They say the other calls were from people who heard fireworks.

In one incident at 19 Johnson Park, police say a bullet was found to have penetrated a bedroom wall and was found resting on top of a bed a few feet away from an infant sleeping in a crib.

The other confirmed shots fired incidents happened at Lenox and Sunset Avenues and Cleveland Avenue and Stark Street.

The UPD is investigating the confirmed shots fired calls.
