Utica Police Investigate Tuesday Night Shootings

Utica Police are investigating a shooting that left a man seriously injured.

Police were called to Leah Street at around 9:00 Tuesday night for a report of shots fired.

When officers, arrived they found spent shell casings but no victim.

A short time later, a 9-1-1 call was made about an accident at Steuben and Pleasant Streets.

Police found the driver unconscious and injured.

He was taken to the hospital where it was learned he had been shot.

Meanwhile, the UPD also responded to a shots fired incident on Andes Avenue last night.

Officers found a man who suffered several gunshot wounds to his leg.

He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to call Utica Police.
