Utica Police are investigating four reports of shots fired over 16 hours.

The first incident happened at about 7:15 Wednesday night on Winner Avenue.

Police say witnesses heard gunshots and saw a man holding a handgun run from an alley and into an SUV.

Minutes later, police received another call from a resident on the 900 block of Churchill Avenue who woke up after hearing a loud pop.

The resident noticed a bullet hole in his living room and a projectile lodged in his ceiling.

It's believed that a stray bullet from Winner Avenue damaged the home on Churchill Avenue.

The second incident happened just over three hours later on the 1600 block of Genesee Street.

Officers found numerous spent bullet casings from two different guns in the road on Avery Place, just west of Genesee.

Meanwhile, police responded to shots fired calls Thursday on Grant and Erie Streets

Anyone with information on any of the incidents is asked to call Utica Police at 315-223-3461.
