Utica Police Officer Injured Breaking Up Fight

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Three people are facing charges following a fight last night outside of Celtic Harp in Utica.

Utica Police say an officer trying to break up the fight was punched in the face and bitten on the finger.

Officers had to taser 23-year old Carmen Zammiello of Whitesboro to subdue him.

Zammiello was charged with assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Police say two women who were also involved in the altercation tried to stop officers from arresting Zammiello.

23-year old Tara Lyne of Sunnyside, New York and 21-year old Briana McIlroy of Plattsburg were both charged with obstructing governmental administration.

Lyne was also charged with harassment and disorderly conduct.
