Utica Police Searching for Shooting Suspect

A Utica man is hospitalized in stable condition after being shot in the area of Steuben Street and Elmwood Place.

Utica Police say 35-year old Luis Acevedo was shot multiple times just before 5:30 Tuesday afternoon.

Police are looking for a suspect who was seen fleeing in a gray/silver four-door sedan on the 1600 block of Steuben Street.

The suspect is an African-America man in his mid 30s, about 5-feet-9 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds.
