At least six young men are being looked for by police in connection with two robberies over the weekend.

They took place on Friday and Saturday and police do not know if the two are related.

In the latest case a bike and MP3 player were stolen. Six or seven young men were involved but the victim was only able to describe two of the attackers.  It took place near Albany and Rutger streets at about 8:30pm on Saturday, March 30, 2013.  Both suspects are described as being about eighteen years old or younger, African American.  One was about 5’4” with a thin build.  He was wearing white pants with a black stripe at the time.  The second suspect is 5’9” with a medium build wearing black sweatpants and a gray long sleeve workout shirt.  The bicycle stolen was a gray or silver mountain bike with a 26" wheel diameter.  The seat has a "Schwinn" logo and a tear in the left side.

The first robbery took place before 11:30pm on Friday, March 29, 2013.  A food delivery person was robbed at gunpoint. Police have released the following descriptions of three of the suspects:

  • Suspect One: Black male, about 6’0” tall, wearing a baggy blue shirt and Timberland boots and armed with a handgun.
  • Suspect Two: Black male, shorter than suspect one, bald and armed with a pump action pistol grip shotgun.
  • Suspect Three: Black male, taller than suspect one, wearing a blue fleece with and American flag patch on the right shoulder and possibly armed with unknown weapon.
At least three or four other suspects were wearing bandanas over their faces and ran between 303 and 305 Pellettieri Avenue.
