Utica, NY (WIBX) - Job seekers of all ages were on hand during the Resource Center for Independent Living job fair in Utica.

From 10 until 3, prospective employees met with representatives from more than 20 businesses, including the Con Med Corporation, Avon and Fiber Instrument Sales.

Rhondisa Cotton, Administrative Program Assistant for the RCIL, says although obtaining a job is difficult, a positive attitude may make all the difference.

"Have that enthusiasm that you know you're here to get a job and that's what you're doing," Cotton said. "You're putting your best foot forward and know that you're coming out of here feeling like you've accomplished another step towards seeking a job."

Cotton says last year's event brought in nearly 800 people, and are expecting this year to draw in approximately the same amount.
