Calling the next election for Comptroller "vitally important to the future of Utica", the City Republican Committee is beginning the search for a qualified candidate.

Chairperson Joseph Hobika, Jr. says the committee is committed to recommend to the voters of Utica a candidate with experience in government, significant professional qualifications in finance and exceptional managerial skills.

He says they hope to find a talent who can quickly identify problems facing the city and recommend the appropriate actions leading to a return to fiscal stability.

Anyone interested in the office is asked to contact the City of Utica Republican Committee at 724-1821.

Current Comptroller Michael Cerminaro's terms expires at the end of the year.
