Utica Rome Unemployment Rate Down In June

The New York State Department of Labor has released local unemployment rates for June.

In the Utica-Rome area, the unemployment rate was 4.4 percent.  That's down from 5.4 percent in June of 2015

The state's unemployment rate remained unchanged at 4.7 percent last month.

The Department of Labor says from June 2015 to June 2016, the State's private sector job count increased by 120,700 to an all-time high of 7,918,400.
