Utica Rome Unemployment Rate Down In June

The New York State Department of Labor has released preliminary June area unemployment rates.

In the Utica-Rome area, the jobless rate last monh was 6.2% compared to 7.7% percent in June of 2013.

The state's unemployment rate fell to 6.6% in June, its lowest level since November 2008.

New York added over 137,000 private sector jobs from June 2013 to June of this year.
