The Utica School Board held a public hearing on Tuesday night on the School District's proposed 2015-16 budget.

No one from the public commented on the $152-million dollar spending plan. The budget carries no property tax increase and includes no layoffs.

Board member Lou Lapolla say it's important that residents get out and vote on May 19th.

Residents will also decide on a $9.7 million bond proposal that would allow the district to build a new administrative office at Kernan School.

LaPolla says if the bond proposal passes, the district will no longer have to pay $450,000 to lease a building to house administrative offices. The district currently leases a building on the Parkway for its offices.

The polls will be open from noon to 9:00 on May 19th.
