The City of Utica has issued a Request for Proposal for the purchase and development of the Utica Historic Marina on Harbor Lock Road.

The city-owned building at the marina was constructed in 2001 on property leased by the City from the NYS State Canal Corporation.  Mayor Robert Palmieri worked with the Canal Corp and other state partners to inquire about selling the land to the city, allowing the building and land to be sold together.

“The benefits of the city purchasing the land surrounding our facility at the marina is a win-win as it enables us to market the entire property which makes it appealing to investors." said Palmieri.

The two-level building is 8,000 square feet in size and is currently home to Aqua Vino restaurant.

The deadline to submit an RFP is September 6th at 3:30.

A copy of the RFP can be found on the City of Utica website.
