Utica Police have made an arrest in the shots fired incident outside of Proctor High School last month that nearly ended in tragedy. That stray bullet, police say, shattered the window of a school bus outside of Proctor and lodged in a seat that a student was sitting in.

Matthew Millan, aged 17, is now charged with felony counts of reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon in connection with the October 25 incident.

Police say Millan is from Utica but was located at a residence in the Bronx, with assistance of the U.S. Marshals New York/New Jersey Regional Task Force, Utica police said.

In release sent to local media, UPD also said further arrests are expected, to include those who hindered their investigation and assisted suspects in fleeing the local area.
