Utica Teen Charged In Robbery And Assault

A Utica teen has been arrested in connection with a robbery and assault that happened Monday on the 1100 block of Ontario Street.

Utica Police have charged 18-year old Jose Gonzalez with robbery and burglary.

Police say an 86-year old man was attacked inside his home by two men and struck in the head.

They say when the victim got up, he realized that an amount of money was missing, along with his vehicle.

The victim was treated at a local hospital for his injuries.

The investigation is continuing as investigators work on identifying a second suspect.
