The City of Utica will continue hosting the New York State American Legion Baseball Championships through 2020.

Donovan Stadium at Murnane Fiield has hosted the event for the past three years.

This year's tournament kicks off on July 29th with the arrival of eight teams from across the state.

The games will begin the next day at 9 a.m and will conclude with the championship game on August 3rd.

Utica's Adrean Post will again be the host team.

“This is a great announcement for our City,” said Utica Mayor Robert Palmieri.  “I thank Chairman Bruce Mayfield and Mike Macchione for enabling Utica to host the New York State American Legion Championship Series for the next six years.”
