Utica Woman And Daughter Accused Of Possessing Heroin
A Utica woman and her daughter were arrested for allegedly possessing and attempting to use heroin at the Oneida County Office Building.
The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says a citizen reported two individuals were acting suspiciously in a closed stall of the first-floor women's restroom.
Deputies say they found two women in the stall and seized heroin and drug paraphernalia, including hypodermic syringes.
49-year old Melissa Cook and 27-year old Amanda Johnson are charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
The investigation is continuing and additional charges are pending.
