Utica Woman Arrested After Posting Threat to GPO

A Utica woman has been arrested after allegedly posting a threat to the GPO Federal Credit Union in New Hartford on Thursday.

New Hartford Police say 21-year old Jazmiere Pemberton posted the threat on Facebook to "blow up" a GPO branch.

Police say Pemberton used an alias as a Facebook account name.

Due to the threat, GPO management placed their branches on alert and locked down their main office.

Pemberton is charged with aggravated harassment.

The investigation is continuing and police say additional charges are being considered.
