Utica Woman Charged With Assault

Utica, NY (WIBX) - A Utica woman is facing an assault charge after allegedly slicing a man in the arm pit area with a box cutter.

Utica Police say the incident took place at the Ropewalk Apartments on Oneida Street.

Police say 50-year old Willie Pounds and the victim were smoking crack cocaine together.

They say Pounds accused the man of stealing her cell phone.
