Utica Woman Charged With Passing Prison Contraband

A Utica woman is accused of passing contraband to an inmate at the Oneida County Jail.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says 31-year old Charlene Marquez was visiting a man who was incarcerated at the jail.

Deputies say the two were immediately separated and the contraband was found on the inmate.

The investigation is continuing and charges against the inmate are pending.
