Utica Woman Faces Charges Following Larceny Investigation
A Utica woman is facing numerous charges following an investigation by New Hartford Police that began in March.
Police say 48-year old Lisa Martin was allegedly approaching women in parking lots of local businesses and asking for a ride because her vehicle had broken down. They say after getting a ride, Martin would then steal cash and other items from inside the vehicles and the victim's purses.
Police identified Martin as a suspect through social media and news outlets.
She was charged with attempted grand larceny, scheme to defraud and seven counts of petty larceny.
