Utica Woman Facing Animal Cruelty Charges

A Utica woman has been arrested on animal abuse charges.

Utica Police say officers were called to the 2000 block of Genesee Street and found two dogs that were in need of veterinarian care.

They say one of the dogs had an untreated leg injury.

35-year old Crystal Zegarelli was charged with two counts of animal cruelty.

The dogs were seized and placed in the care of a veterinarian
