Utica Woman Wins $1M Prize From Scratch Off Lotto Ticket

Utica, NY (WIBX) - The rumors are true- a Utica woman has won one million dollars from a scratch off lottery ticket.

According to the New York State lottery, the stay-at-home mom purchased a Million Dollar Scratch ticket from the Price Chopper on Genesee Street, with money she earned from redeeming her recyclables.

Jina Myers, with the New York Lottery, will present the woman with her check tomorrow morning.

The odds of winning the jackpot for this particular game were 1 in nearly 2.6 million.
