Utica, NY (WIBX) - The Utica Zoo is hosting several Earth Day events to educate visitors about the environment, while celebrating the arrival of two new animals.

On April 22nd, from 11 until 3, patrons will learn about the environment with crafts and other activities. Visitors will also receive a dollar off admission if they bring an electronic item for recycling by Computer Connection of CNY.

In addition, two baby African Crested Porcupines will make their Zoo debut. The four-week-old porcupettes will be displayed in the Animal Care Center.

And at the food pavilion, Voss' will host a grand opening at its new location in the concession area.

The event will run rain or shine, so be prepared to dress for the weather.
