Syracuse, NY (WIBX) -   Electricity and natural gas bills will be going up under an agreement reached yesterday between National Grid officials and the New York State Public Service Commission. 

If approved, the proposal would hike Upstate electric rates by $123 million over the next three years.

Gas rates would climb by $8.8 million.

Utility officials originally wanted $174 million in hikes.
