Valley Health Breaks Ground On Assisted Living Facility

Herkimer's Valley Health Services broke ground on a new 46 bed assisted living facility today. The new facility is expected to open in July, 2014, and will provide senior citizens with a number of support services including nursing care, housekeeping, meals and maintenance, while allowing them to remain independent.

The facility will also educate around 50 students per year as Certified Nursing Assistants and Home Health Aides as well as add a minimum of 27 new jobs.

Valley Health Services was recently named one of the top nursing homes in the country by U.S. News & World Report.

The 220 acre site of the new complex is located on Pine Grove Road in East Herkimer.
