Utica, NY (WIBX) - Utica Police have arrested a Vernon man for allegedly writing bad checks at two area businesses.Police say 38-year old Joseph Gottuso passed the checks at BJ's and Price Chopper in North Utica.

The checks totaled over $3,000 and were from two different closed accounts.

Gottuso was charged with 2 counts of Grand Larceny.

The UPD is asking that anyone who feels that they may be a victim in this case to call them at 223-3515.
