Vernon Woman Charged With Rape

A Vernon woman is accused of engaging in sexual relations with a person under the age of 17.

The arrest of 30-year old Dawn Seifert was the result of a two-week investigation by the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center.

Seifert was charged with rape.

The case has been turned over to the District Attorney's Office for Grand Jury consideration.
