Verona Fire Department Receives OIN Check

Verona, NY (WIBX) -  The Oneida Indian Nation recently presented the Verona Fire Deparment with a $25,000 check for fire protection.

The Nation makes four check presentations annually as part of a longstanding service agreement. The department provides fire and rescue services to the Turning Stone Resort and Casino, and other Nation properties.

Since 1993, the Verona Fire Department has received more than $1.2 million dollars from the Nation under the agreement, according to Nation officials.
