Victim Of Fatal Car Pedestrian Accident Identified

State Police have released the name of the woman who was killed in a car-pedestrian accident early Monday morning on Route 12 in West Turin.

The victim has been identified.as 50-year old Bridget Weir of Kingston, NY.

Troopers say Weir, who was a passenger in a tractor-trailer that was parked along the highway, began to cross the road and walked into the path of a car.

She was pronounced dead at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

Police say no criminal charges are expected against the driver of the car.
