Monday night's Education Town Hall meeting with State Education Commissioner John B. King at Whitesboro High School drew a large crowd featuring many unhappy teachers and parents.

The event, sponsored by Senator Joe Griffo, became heated over testing and the common core curriculum and that was reflected in the calls that came into First News with Keeler in the Morning on Tuesday.  Wednesday morning's Keeler show, as a result, will feature education experts starting at 7 a.m. to discuss the new state standards.  People can call in and have their questions answered at 736-0186.

Here's the State Education Department's video regarding teachers and the common core that was played at Monday night's forum.
