The American Hockey League All-Star game is coming to Utica.

AHL Commissioner David Andrews made the announcement today that the Utica Comets and the Utica Auditorium will host the 2015 All Star Classic in January.

The weekend includes a skills competition at the Aud on January 25, as well as other events hosted by the Turning Stone Resort and Casino throughout the weekend, followed by the All-Star Game on January 26.

Andrews says the AHL felt it was fitting to reward the Utica area for the success the Comets have had.

Tickes will include both the skills competition and the All-Star game and will go on sale to the public on November 1, while season ticket holders will have the opportunity to reserve their seats beginning October 20.
