Vigil Held For Herkimer College Soccer Star [AUDIO]

A candle light vigil was held Monday night at Wehrum Stadium in Herkimer for Peter McAvoy.

The 22-year old Herkimer College soccer star from Dundee, Scotland collapsed in his apartment on Saturday night and later died.

The vigil took place on the same field where McAvoy helped lead the Generals to their third staright National Championship last year.

Don Dutcher is the Athletic Director at Herkimer College.

James Wilson co-captained the Generals along with McAvoy.

McAvoy's cause of death is still not known.

The vigil was streamed live so Peter's family in Scotland could watch.
