Visitor restrictions have been put in place for the inpatient units at Mohawk Valley Health System to better protect patients from the flu.

A maximum of two visitors per patient will be permitted at any one time.

Children 14 and under are prohibited from visiting all inpatient areas, as they're most  likely to have and transmit respiratory infections.

This will not apply to the siblings of newborns visiting the Maternity Department, unless they are showing symptoms of an illness.

The hospitals ask that you not visit if you fell ill with an type of upper respiratory problem.
