NFL Network Fires Warren Sapp

Pro Football Hall of Famer Warren Sapp has been fired from the NFL Network following news of his arrest for allegedly soliciting a prostitute.

Sapp, an outspoken and well known former player and commentator, was charged on Monday morning by Phoenix Police.

CNN.com quotes a police report in saying two escorts suffered minor injuries:

"During the investigation, detectives were able to establish that act of prostitution occurred in the room by at least one of the females," Phoenix police spokesman Trent Crump said in the news release.
Sapp, 42, was booked on charges of soliciting a prostitute and two counts of assault, both misdemeanor offenses.

The incident purportedly occurred just hours after Sapp worked on the NFL Network's coverage of Super Bowl 49.
