Washington, DC (WIBX) - The Washington Redskins rookie phenom known as RG3 has done it again, picking up Pro Football Weekly's Rookie of the Year award.

In a recent article, The Washington Times is reporting that Robert Griffin III was selected for the award, making him a contender for the upcoming Associated Press' Offensive Rookie of the Year Award.

The 22 year-old has already had a taste of success so far. He was one of only two rookies to be selected to this year's Pro Bowl and led the league in several categories, including yards per pass attempt (8.1), yards per rushing attempt (6.8) and pass interception percentage (1.3).

He also proved to be quite the leader, providing the 10-6 Redskins with three comebacks and two game winning drives.

But, RG3 isn't the only offensive rookie to earn a spot on the all-rookie team. Running back Alfred Morris was also explosive during the season, rushing for 1,613 yards and 13 touchdowns. Those numbers were good for second place in each category.

Morris also broke more than 100 yards per game, though he finished a distant second to the Vikings' Adrian Peterson.
