The past weekend of February 25 saw a lot of weather activity all across New York State. So much that a funnel cloud was even spotted in the North Country. While the Utica area was hunkering down from thunderstorms, lightning and hail, the small town of Theresa, NY was watching the sky for warning signs of a tornado.

WWNYTV.com shared this video from a viewer who happened to catch a funnel cloud in the early stages of forming.

The National Weather Service hasn't confirmed if an actual tornado touched down, but reports from the Watertown Daily Times and local police seems to point to just that.

Just last August, a tornado touched down near Constableville in Lewis County, but the possibility of one in February is very unique.
