New York Governor Andrew Cuomo will be presenting his 2013-2014 Executive Budget at 2:00pm today, January 22, 2013.

The budget proposal for the coming year is expected to include about $132 billion in costs for the state, with a projected deficit of more than one billion dollars. Proposals made during Cuomo's State of the State Address were considered by some to be "bold," but the budget itself is expected to hold few surprises.

The subject of education is expected to be a big topic as the governor has previously announced plans to expand the school day and implement full day kindergarten and perhaps pre-kindergarten across the state.
