Water Levels Drop, Oneida Lake Reopens

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Oneida Lake is open again.

Sheriff Robert Maciol has lifted the order prohibiting boats from operating on Oneida Lake effective immediately. The lake was closed last week due to concerns over flooding and floating debris.

Maciol says there has been a significant drop in the high water level, however, boaters are advised to use caution due to possible floating debris, some of which may be under water.
